ANZAC DAY – SATURDAY 25TH APRIL

ANZAC
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning.
We will remember them.

ROYAL RANDWICK (NSW)

TRACK RATINGS: HEAVY 8 – Peno: 6.02 – Rail: +12m 1600m to Winning Post, +6m Remainder

SELECTIONS ARE BASED ON A HEAVY 9 TRACK RATING – (24.4.15)

Race 1 – No: 10 PAINTED FIRETAIL
Two recent trials to date. Won first trial (791m – Warwick Farm) then unplaced effort at Randwick (1044) without any pressure, both trials on rain affected tracks. Monitor nay betting moves.

Race 2 – No: 3 BERRY DELICIOUS
Resuming last time finished 6th 6.3L, Powerline at Newcastle (3Y-Maiden) 1200m. Wet form excellent. Trialled well to be ready first up. Big watch.

Race 3 – No: 3 DOUKHAN
Proven at this distance and could be ready to return to form. First-up he was 4th 2.5L, Salford Art at Warwick Farm (BM-75) 2200m. Second run last prep he was 1st 0.5L, Kizuna at Fr – Chantilly (SCON) 2400m. Has genuine claims.

Race 4 – No: 5 MAN OF DISTICTION
Honest and consistent galloper and its recent form is sound. Last start he finished 2nd 0.8L, Double Happy at Warwick Farm (3Y-0MW) 1300m. Two starts back looked good when he finished 3rd 0.2L, Nancy at Warwick Farm (3YB-66) 1300m. Expect bold effort.

Race 5 – No: 9 MARWOOD
Looked good winning first-up and has also won second up. Resuming was 1st 0.2L, The Four Lads at Warrnambool (BM-70) 1100m. Second-up last prep good run when 3rd 1.3L, Olivier at Sandown-Lakeside (3YO-78) 1200m. Hard to beat.

Race 6 – No: 3 FRESNAPOL
Nice run for a place when resuming and should be fitter for this race; distance suits. First-up ran strongly 3rd 2.2L, Medcaut at Rosehill (BM-85) 1400m. Second-up last time was 1st 0.4L, Timeless Prince at Rosehill (BM-80) 1500m. Should test these.

Race 7 – No: 4 SENSE OF OCCASION
First-up he was 1st 0.8L, Perfect Weapon at Warwick Farm (BM-79) 1400m. Second run last prep was 10th 10L, Centre Pivot at Rosehill (BM-80) 1500m. Harder here but can’t knock last start winning form. Strong claims.

Race 8 – No: 4 SONG AND LAUGHTER
Two starts back she finished 1st 2.8L, Happy Friday at Warwick Farm (FM-1MW) 1300m. Harder here on last start winning effort. On April 15 she finished 1st 1.8L, Sankara Spirit at Warwick Farm (BM-70) 1400m. Go well here.
