Track: SOFT 5, Rail: TRUE – Peno: 5.44
Race 3 No: 3 JILEK SPURS
Likes this distance range (2 from 2) and is holding form very well indeed. Most recently was 1st 5L, Coogan at Caulfield (BM-90) 4000m. Two runs back he finished 1st 0.2L, Duplicity Jones at Mornington (BM-84) 3400m. Looks the winner.
Race 4 No: 11 MYSTIC MOON
Trialled once for a nice easy trial to race to the line unextended. Given a few weeks since that trial to have her ready for this her first start. Key booking is Luke Nolen goes on, Watch for any betting moves.
Race 7 No: 4 NEWSPAPER
Harder here but competitive on last start winning effort. Most recently powered home 1st 1L, Squeaky Squirrel at Seymour (BM-64) 1209m. Two back was 1st 0.2L, Vainrite at Benalla (BM-64) 1206m. Right in this.
Race 8 No: 10 ZANTECA
Honest and consistent galloper and its recent form is sound. Last start she finished 3rd 3.8L, Allergic at Cranbourne (BM-70) 2060m. Two starts back she finished 3rd 0.9L, Magnus Slipper at Racing.Com Park (FMB-70) 1600m. Extra distance will be much more to her favour being from Zabeel. Ready to get back into the winners circle. (BEST BET)
Race 10 No: 8 REFULGENT
Stepping up in distance range that suits and rates a chance on its recent efforts. Last run shifted in 200m when 4th 4.1L, Zebrinz at Caulfield (SCON) 1600m. On Apr 4 he finished 5th 5L, Epic Saga at Tatura (Open) 1600m when the favourite. Suited, Rates well.
