WARRNAMBOOL – DAY 2
Track: SOFT 6, Rail: TRUE – Peno: 5.60
Race 1 No: 5 IMPERIAL ATTITUDE
Fitter for two recent runs. Last time out he finished 4th 0.9L, Jessie’s Boy at Ararat (3YO-Maiden) 1300m. Two starts back ran home well 4th 1.8L, Sharif at Racing.Com Park (3YO-Maiden) 1200m. Top hope this race.
Race 5 No: 5 BELLE MELBA
First-up (1:1-0-0): Lightly raced and has excellent win record. Resuming last prep was 1st 6L, Charlemagne’s Girl at Warrnambool (FM-Maiden) 1000m. Starts short price, looks better then these and should be winning this today..
Race 6 No: 2 URBAN EXPLORER
Harder here but warrants respect on consistent recent form. On April 23rd was 2nd 0.5L, Crimson Cape at Ballarat (BM-64) 2200m. On Apr 6 he finished 1st 1.5L, Wai Not P’Roni at Oakbank (Hurdle) 3600m. Looms as a threat.
Race 7 No: 8 TRISTRAM’S SUN
Second-up stats reads well for this (4:0-2-1): Resuming he was 7th 3.4L, Hard Romp at Flemington (Open) 1000m. Second-up last time was 8th 5.8L, Tried And Tired at Flemington (Open) 1400m. Stays under notice. Worth a bet on both totes.
Race 9 No: 5 CLUB STAR
Likes this distance range (1 from 3) and is holding form very well indeed. When first-up shifted in at start and ran wide during race when 2nd 0.4L, Any Given Day at Cranbourne (BM-64) 1300m. Second-up last prep reportedly failed due to track condition when 2nd 0.8L, Fund Trader at Echuca (2Y-Maiden) 1200m. Appeals strongly.
WARWICK FARM – (NSW)
Track: HEAVY 9, Rail: TRUE – Peno: 6.05
Race 3 No: 3 AMMIRATA
Warrants respect on consecutive wins at past two starts. Last run she finished 1st 2.5L, Undoubtable at Kembla Grange (BM-60) 1400m when the favourite. On April 11 slowly away but still won by 1.3L, Careless at Newcastle (Maiden) 1200m. Does appeal here.
Race 4 No: 2 SUPER MOVER
Recent form consistent; this not strong. Most recently powered home 1st 1.3L, Gambler’s Blues at Canterbury (BM-75) 1900m. Before that ran strongly 1st 2.3L, Turf Speedie at Newcastle (BM-60) 2300m. Look for bold run.
Race 7 No: 4 ALEGRIA
First-up (1:1-0-0): Lightly raced and has excellent win record. First-up last preparation was 1st 0.4L, Our Little Miracle at Randwick Ins (3F-Maiden) 1300m. Back in class for this first up assignment. Been fitted up with two recent Warwick Farm trials without being pressured. looks to be a filly with real promise. Expecting a real bold showing.
