WARRNAMBOOL – FINAL DAY
Track: HEAVY 9, Rail: +4m 1300m–300m, True Remainder – Peno: 6.06
Race 2 No: 4 ELGAR
Lightly raced and bears watching on a nice third last start. Most recently slowly away when 3rd 2.9L, He’s Commanding at Bendigo (BM-64) 1100m. Two starts back slowly away and lost a plate when 6th 3.8L, Excitement at Bendigo (BM-64) 1000m. Warrants respect.
Race 3 No: 6 YULONG BABY
Ran an attractive race for 4th first-up and is a proven performer second-up. First-up solid run when she finished 4th 2.5L, Mrs President at Seymour (3FB-70) 1400m. Second run last time was 1st 2.3L, Brevity at Moe (FM-Maiden) 1623m. Will give this a real shake.
Race 7 No: 1 LORD OF THE SONG
Was an easy winner (13L) in this grade last start and bound to be competitive here. On Apr 6 he finished 1st 13L, Palemo at Oakbank (Steeple) 4950m. On Apr 4 was 2nd 6.3L, Thubiaan at Oakbank (Steeple) 3250m. Hard to beat.
Race 8 No: 6 TALL SHIPS
Harder here but can’t knock last winning form. On Apr 19 was 1st 0.1L, Tuscan Fire at Terang (Open) 2150m. Two starts back he finished 1st 1.3L, Count Encosta at Stawell (Open) 2000m. Does appeal here and will be strong late.
Race 10 No: 10 OLIVIER
Fitter for recent racing and a winner in this distance range. Last time out he finished 11th 5.4L, Sunday Escape at Caulfield (BM-78) 1100m. Two starts back was 1st 0.5L, It’s A Shame Billy at Sandown-Hillside (BM-70) 1000m. Has the ability.
GOOD LUCK & GOOD PUNTING!!!
