No: 2 REINFORCED
Didn’t have much luck in the Baillieu last start. No surprise to see him take up the running here and if that’s case will take plenty of running down.
(UNPLACED)

DANGER
No: 1 PRIZED ICON
Another good run when an unlucky second last start and has strong credentials here. Last start was 2nd (The Schweppervescence, 2YO-G3) 1400m. Before that was 3rd, Defcon at Canberra (Black Opal Stakes, 2YO-G3) 1200m. Suited this race.

(UNPLACED)

DANGER
No: 15 DIXIE CHICK
Promising filly winning two from three starts. Suited stepping up to 1400m but the barrier hasn’t helped her cause for this Listed Event. Watch for her charging home late.

TIME: 1.55PM

TOP SELECTION
No: 1 JAPONISME
Brings the best sprinting G1 form to this finishing close up in the Lightning, Newmarket and William Reid in three runs this preparation. Clearly the one to beat at set weights against his own age.

No: 7 HELLBENT
Promising sprinter resuming. Has won three from six and the winner of a recent trial at Rosehill. This could be the preparation he puts it all together and expecting a big run fresh.

TIME: 2.35PM

TOP SELECTION

(UNPLACED)

DANGER
No: 1 JAMEKA
The Oaks winner in the Spring and has been terrific this preparation culminating in a tough effort in the Derby last week. Has the form on the board and the one to beat back to her own sex but will need some luck from the gate.

RACE 7 – GROUP 1, SCHWEPPES SYDNEY CUP – 3200M
TIME: 3.15PM

TOP SELECTION
No: 1 WHO SHOT THEBARMAN
Looked a big chance at the 200m of winning the BMW but couldn’t reel in the stablemate (Preferment). That looks the form line for this and will be right at his peak now.
(UNPLACED)

No: 3 GRAND MARSHALL

TIME: 3.55PM

TOP SELECTION
No: 6 ZANBAGH

(UNPLACED)

DANGER
No: 3 AZKADELLIA
Terrific effort in the Doncaster only to be beaten by two classy gallopers to beat her. Handles wet surfaces so this will be another factor that she’ll race well again. Just needs to hold form to give this a real shake. Great chance.

TIME: 4.35PM

TOP SELECTION
No: 1 CRITERION

Found plenty to hold off his stablemate (Who Shot Thebarman) in the BMW courtesy of a terrific Hugh Bowman ride. The 2000m is his pet distance and right in the mix.

the-championships

RACE 10 – GROUP 2, SENSIS SAPPHIRE STAKES – 2000M
TIME: 5.15PM

TOP SELECTION
No: 1 BOUNDING
Drops back in class for this as her last two runs have been in the (Oakleigh Plate / The Galaxy) where she hasn’t been beaten that far in both races. Should be nearing peak fitness now being third run into this current preparation. Back to Fillies & Mares race could prove an distinct advantage. Drawn to receive super run. Ready to win.
(UNPLACED)

DANGER
No: 6 CRADLE ME
Does needs luck in her races as she drops out the back to be saved for the last crack. Can reel off solid closing sectionals to finish off quickly. Peaks third-up and will be charging home late.
