Welcome to OneSelection2Win Weekend Racing Mail for Saturday 30th July, we have come up with our better bets around the country.
TRACK – (SOFT 6)
RACE 4 No: 7 EXTENSIBLE – Two wins three seconds from five starts to date and very good resuming when runner-up at Rosehill when she had a chequered path in the straight. Gets the chance to go one better with the first-up run under her belt and the extra distance suits.
(PLACED – 3RD)
RACE 8 No: 4 MCCREERY – Improved considerably at second run back from a break finishing a close second at Canterbury. That was only his second run in 128-days, bigger track suits, inform jockey rides is a distinct advantage and is ready to breakthrough this preparation.
RACE 9 No: 10 CHEEKY BABE – Just a run short at Canterbury when resuming. Has had 38-days between runs but has placed in a Randwick trial in the mean time. Jockey sticks is another positive sign. Winning chance. (UNPLACED)
TRACK – (SOFT 5)
RACE 1 No: 2 TURBO STREET – Comes off a dominant win at Moonee Valley at the mile. Looks ready now to step up to this strip now. Has been scratched from a race at Morphettville to race here is a strong pointer. Will be charging home late. Big chance.
RACE 4 No: 3 CRAFTY COP – Strong first preparation winning on debut. Then was beaten by two stakes winning horses at his second start. Won a recent trial at Rosehill to have him ready for a strong first up showing. Hard to beat.
RACE 9 No: 5 MAGICUS – Promising galloper from the Chris Waller stable. Ridden well to win 2nd up at The Valley. Should be hitting peak fitness, stepping up to this distance should be more to his liking. Jockey sticks is a good sign. Straight into the box seat, he’ll be tough to beat.
(PLACED – 2ND)
TRACK – (GOOD 4)
RACE 1 No: 5 VIVA ESPANA – Racing well but finding it hard to break through this time round. Stepping back in trip from the Queensland Cup (3200m) but should be running home late. Big Chance.
RACE 7 No: 10 MADOTTI – Backing up from last week close placing where he just missed getting the prize. Has been finding hard to win of late, must have pleased the stable backing up, is well weighted here and with luck in running will be hard to hold out. (UNPLACED)
TRACK – (SOFT 7)
RACE 7 No: 5 COOL SNITZEL – Resuming for the new stable. Showed plenty of promise when we last saw in work under the care of Peter Moody. Comes to hand quickly with a 100% fresh record – (2/2). Drawn to track the leader in the run and should be strong late. Can win fresh.
RACE 8 No: 7 ASCENDANCE – Returned to the winners circle when we selected him on top here when he was down in class from his last few runs. Does appear to be plenty of speed up front in the race so this should suit yet again, will drop out and will be looking for him to be flying home late.
TRACK – (SOFT 5)
RACE 2 No: 2 FIRST APPROVAL – Arguably should have won at Kembla on debut after being held up on the turn to be charging home late. Gets the chance to go one better with the benefit of race experience. Extra distance suit will be in his favour. Hard to beat. (WINNER $2.30)
RACE 3 No: 5 PRESCIENCE – Import who has finished runner-up all four Australian starts to date. Did his best work late when resuming here over the (1400m). Fitter and the step up to the mile will suit. Can finally win one on Australian soil. (PLACED – 3RD)
