RACE 8 NO.4 ASTERIUS (4) – Fresh run was okay when beaten less then 2 lengths to run eighth, second up stats reads well with a win and a second from two runs. Fitter and drawn to receive the run of the race. Eachway. SP: ($7.50)

TRACK: SOFT (5) – RAIL: True Entire Circuit. PEN – 6.00

RACE 4 No: 9 MR QUICKIE (14) –  Drawn no favours here out wide, can overcome this as he is a horse on the up winning his last three. His latest win he strolled away with a convincing win. Meets the older horses here, only needs to get luck early in the race to prove a serious threat again. Major player. (SP: $3.70)

RACE 6 NO. 8 FASTNET LATINA (8) – Looked the winner in the Donald Cup only to find one better on the day. Craig Williams goes on board is a big plus. Has won and performed at this distance range is another positive. Can go close on the limit. Ready to win. (SP: $4.40)

TRACK: SOFT (6) – RAIL – +2m Entire Course. PEN – 5.62

RACE 8 No: 4 PRIORITISE (1) – Has been in a purple patch of form of late winning four of his last five, given eight weeks between runs when hitting the line strongly run fourth less the two lengths. Stepping up to the mile suits, drawn to get the run of the race. Strong chance. (SP: $3.20)

RACE 8 No: 3 OUR CROWN MISTRESS (9) – Looking for a sharp improvement here with the blinkers back on, has been contesting Stakes racing over the Spring carnival in Melbourne. Three starts on wet tracks has resulted in a win and a close second. Distance range suits, three weeks between run can win without surprising. Win won’t shock. (SP: $5.50)

TRACK: GOOD (4) – Rail: Normal. PEN – 5.55

RACE 7 No: 6 PLATINUM ANGEL (3) – Grabbed late to go down narrowly at Ballarat. This race suits where she has drawn to receive a soft run throughout the race, watch for her charging to the line late. Weighted to win. Hard to beat. (SP: $2.50)

RACE 8 No: 8 LADY OF CREBILLY (10) – Resumes here for the strong Phillip Stokes stables. Has been fitted with two recent trials (winning the latest) to have her ready for a strong first up showing. Watch for her charging home late. Go close. (SP: $4.00)
