ROSEHILL (NSW)
TRACK: GOOD (4) – RAIL: True Entire Circuit

RACE 2 No: 8 ROCKAFELLA – Have been be fitted with three recent trials. Showed promise in his first preparation winning two from three and looks ready to go fresh here. Watch for any strong betting moves.

RACE 6 No: 6 ZOURKHAN – Flemington winner resuming two runs back and just missed at the same track last start. Been accepted for a few races of late only to be scartched on the day of the race. Has won third-up previously and rates a winning chance over this distance range again. Go close.

RACE 9 No: 5 PHILOSOPHY – Has won three from six career starts. Did win fresh at Canterbury then never saw clear running at Warwick Farm last start until it was too late to charge home to finish on the heels of the placegetters. Set to bounce back here without surprising.

TRACK: GOOD (4) – RAIL: True Entire Circuit

RACE 2 No: 1 CHARLEVOIX – Racing in peak form of late with 2 wins from his last four starts. Gets a few gear changes and a key jockey change who was on his back when winning his last 2. Thrown in at the weights, he’ll be tough to beat. Winning chance.

RACE 3 No: 1 NISTAAN – Promising colt from the Tony McEvoy stable with strong form lines. 2nd up from a long break up to 1400m suits and should get a great run from the gate. Watch for him charging home late. Go close.

RACE 7 No: 3 REVOLVING DOOR – Should’ve won last start when luckless in the run only to be collared late. He’ll lead or box seat from the good gate and be the one to beat. Ready to win.

TRACK: GOOD (4) – RAIL: +2m Entire course

RACE 4 No: 6 KING VIV – Ran on solidly over this trip at Rosehill last start in a Benchmark 78. Brisbane leading jockey takes the reins is areal positive. Has been improving with each run and should be hard to hold out now he’s had that 2000m run under his belt. Will be hitting the line late.

RACE 7 No: 5 RESET ME I’M WILD – Promising 3yo that hasn’t tasted defeat as yet. Rises in class and distance but to offset this he drops 3.5kg and with Jim Byrne to ride is another plus, should race handy throughout. Big chance in an open race.

TRACK: SOFT (6) – Rail: +4 metres Entire. Sectional 605m. MPKS Track Rail Out 9m 1000 to WP, 6m Remainder. Sectional 612m

RACE 3 No: 7 POSEIDON’S POOL – Dominant winner on debut (Ballarat) in these type of conditions. Looks to have some ability and interesting to see the Darren Weir stable bringing it across the border for his 2nd up run. Big Watch.

RACE 7 No: 14 DUCIMUS – Speedy type that has to take on the older horses here fresh. Resuming and has the wide gate to contest with here, interesting to see Tommy Berry has come over to ride her so that’s a strong pointer she’s ready to show up fresh.

ROSEHILL(NSW)
TRACK: GOOD (3) – RAIL: +6m Entire Circuit

RACE 2 No: 1 NEW UNIVERSE – Winner of both Australian starts for the Chris Waller stable. Continues to work through the grades. Looks to be good speed up front and this will suit. Watch for him charging home late. The one to beat again.

RACE 8 No: 6 SNOOPY – Runner up at Scone when resuming to the smart Clearly Innocent who since has proven the form with a terrific Group 1 Darley Kingsford Smith at Eagle Farm. Strips fitter here and is drawn to receive the run of the race. This looks no harder, Hard to beat.

RACE 9 No: 11 LOUIE SEA KAY – Kept fresh since placing at Hawkesbury last start behind the inform galloper So Willie (R7). Maps well and should get the last crack at them for the run home. Ready to win. Both Totes.

RACE 3 No: 11 EL SICARIO – Dropped back in grade for a soft win at his lat start. Does no work in the run with the good draw. Only needs to see daylight for the run home and he’ll be in the finish. Winning chance.

RACE 8 No: 15 OVERBERG – Racing in peak form of late without winning. A soft run midfield or better, on the limit will have him fighting out the finish again. Ready to win.

RACE 4 No: 1 PREFERMENT – Battled on well in Hollindale to be beaten on 2 lengths when resuming. Will strip fitter and could set his own tempo up front and be hard to run down. Top jockey sticks is a real plus. Winning chance.

RACE 8 No: 8 BONNY O’REILLY – Promising and has won both outings this preparation in fine fashion. Rises in class but should get a good run from gate. Handles all track conditions. Mare on the rise. Hard to beat.

RACE 6 No: 1 KARLOVASI – Looks to get in well here with the 3kg claim, has been racing well in tougher races of late. Back in grade suits. Go close.

RANDWICK (NSW)
TRACK: SOFT (6) – RAIL: True

RACE 1 No: 5 LORD CECIL – Won at Muswellbrook on debut before finding trouble in the Ken Russell at the Gold Coast last start still to be placed. Big show stepping up to this distance where he will appreciate the added journey. Watch for him charging home late. Winning chance.

RACE 6 No: 10 SISKEN – Winner of all three runs this preparation. Continues to raise the bar at every run. Handles all conditions and can’t see no reason she won’t be fighting out the finish yet again.

RACE 9 No: 9 WAYANKA – Unbeaten as a gelding this preparation and the form around him has held up well. Overcame trouble in a terrific win last time out. Up in trip to the 1400m will suit. Winning chance.

TRACK: (GOOD 4) – RAIL: True Entire Circuit

RACE 6 No: 10 PLEIN CIEL – Did enough first-up giving away the big start on a heavy track at the Warrnambool carnival. Fitter here and the bigger track suits. Gets on the firmer track will be in his favour, he’ll be hard to hold out.

RACE 7 No: 2 PEDRENA – Strong through the line last start when getting the prize, steps up to mile should suit. Even luck slotting in midfield in the first half of the race has her hard to beat again.

TRACK: (HEAVY 8) – RAIL: True Entire Circuit

RACE 1 No: 6 BURNING PASSION – Close-up when resuming at Hawkesbury and has benefited from subsequent trial. Sydney form was strong last preparation and should be up to this with the forecast of a rain affected surface. Hard to beat.

RACE 7 No:6 CLEARLY INNOCENT – Returned to form at Scone in fine fashion with a super win, has won both starts at this distance. Has a great record in the wet a another plus. Watch for him late. Can win again.

RACE 2 No: 6 ECKHART – Showed a great turn of foot at his second start across the border, really let down well in the heavy conditions. May get the track to suit with the likelihood of a wet track.

RACE 3 No: 1 SO YOU TOO – Back against her own age group here suits, she has been a model of consistency, should settle mid-field and charge home late. Looks to one of the better bets for the day. Hard to beat.

RACE 1 No: 6 INTERLOCUTER – Import who had plenty on a class two field at Wyong winning at his second Australian start. Looks right up to a race like this now he’s up to the distance that he’ll lap up. Drawn to receive a soft run throughout the race. Winning chance.

RACE 7 No: 1 ARTISTRY – No luck at all in the Hawkesbury Crown last start when she never saw daylight in the straight. Previous form good enough and set to make amends from an ideal gate. Go close.

RACE 8 No: 6 NIETA – Putting together and impressive record and chasing back to back wins after a strong victory at Randwick resuming. Looks well weighted on the minimum and right in the mix.

RACE 7 No: 1 MONGOLIAN WOLF – Last start Group IIII Frank Packer Plate winner in the wet. Is a classy ex- Kiwi that that has a third to Gingernuts. Is a promising stayer that gets in not too bad with the claim. The one to beat.

RACE 8 No: 11 ENIGAM – Lightly raced 3yo colt from the Ciaron Maher stable resuming here. Coming into this with a win and unplaced effort in listed company last spring. Has been fitted up with nice trial (Cranbourne) effort to have him ready for strong 1st up showing. Well in at the weights. Go close.

RACE 8 No: 12 ORDER AGAIN – Loaded with ability which he showed when winning by a widening 7- 1/2 lengths first-up. Tougher here but he has the ability to progress through the grades.

RACE 1 No: 1 ACT OF VALOUR – Returned to winning form last start and he finds himself in another winnable race. He is still on the way-up this campaign and he looks to have a clear edge over his rivals in what is not the strongest race.

RACE 2 No: 6 SILVERHAWK– Was outstanding on debut, hitting the line as well as anything late. Is certain to have benefitted greatly from the experience, gets big positive rider change, the rise to 1400m looks ideal and also gets the blinkers on.

RACE 3 No: 2 BLACK ON GOLD – Newcastle win resuming tells us he has come back in good order and would have been right in the finish at Randwick last start if he wasn’t put out of business in the straight. Ready to win. (WINNER – $5.50)

RACE 7 No: 7 NEW TIPPERARY – Hasn’t had much luck in four runs this preparation all on wet tracks. Set to improve sharply here on a drier surface and loves this track. Ready to win. (UNPLACED)

RACE 9 No: 4 BONNY O’REILLY – Resumes on the back of a Warwick Farm trial win. Wasn’t far from the winner fresh at Canterbury resuming last campaign and looks ready for a strong first up performance. (WINNER – $3.00)

RACE 2 No: 4 LUCQUES – Should be ready to find his best now being third run in this current preparation. Beaten by smart one on Anzac Day where he finished 2nd (Third horse 1.5 length away) only has to bring that form here to prove hard to beat. (PLACED -3RD)

RACE 5 No: 8 BOOKER – $230K purchase at the Inglis Premier Sale. Liked the way she sped around in a Flemington jump out a few days ago. Stable can find a early debut 2YO. Big watch on any strong betting moves. (WINNER – $6.30)

RACE 7 No: 3 WIDGEE TURF – Ran a big race off the break last week. Backs up quickly but his is his best trip. He’ll be hard to hold out. (UNPLACED)

RACE 5 No: 2 RELIGFY – Resuming. Form was solid last preparation and has a good record at this distance. Races well fresh and suited this company. Monitor any betting moves.

Welcome to OneSelection2Win Saturday Racing Mail for Saturday 29th April where we have come with our mail for each of the main meetings around the country.

HAWKESBURY (NSW)
TRACK: GOOD (4) – RAIL: TRUE

RACE 1 No: 6 GREAT GLEN – Import who hasn’t been far from the winner in his two Australian starts. Only overseas win was at 2300m so getting up to right distance. Goes in everything.

RACE 5 No: 6 ASTARA – The Snowden camp put the polish on this New Zealander that has been quite impressive in her two trials. She races up on the speed and will give them something to catch here. Looks to have a class edge.

RACE 6 No: 2 ARTISTRY – Honest mare that is suited at the set weights and penalties. Finally gets a dry track and will be suited third up at 1300m. Looks very hard to beat with champion jockey Hugh Bowman in the saddle. Hard to beat.

RACE 8 No: 6 SPECTROSCOPE – Dominant winner of the Doncaster Prelude and then found himself too far back in the Doncaster. He meets a much easier field and if he runs like he did in the Doncaster Prelude here he’ll take beating.

RACE 3 No: 11 MR SNEAKY – Hard to ignore his last start win against Theanswermyfriend. That race has produced three subsequent winners since. Looks to

RACE 8 No: 1 CHARMED HARMONY – Backed to his best last start when going down narrowly in Group 3 company.

RACE 9 No: 9 CURRAGH – Right at his top for this being third run in this preparation and he does loves a wet track. A soft run midfield or better will have him tough to beat.

TRACK: (GOOD 4) – RAIL: +1m Entire Course

RACE 4 No: 1 OURS TO KEEP – One of the top two-year-olds from earlier in the season that can be forgiven for his only defeat when he drew the wrong spot in the Magic Millions. He does map beautifully looks ready to go after his soft trial win. Strong first up showing expected on the cards.

RACE 5 No: 3 BILLY THE KID – Resuming. Showed promise last preparation and ran a distant 3rd to Winning Rupert over this trip here before break. May need longer but trialled well and can show up fresh. Monitor any betting moves.

RANDWICK (NSW)
TRACK: HEAVY (8) – RAIL: +2m Entire Course

RACE 3 No: 3 CAERLESS CHOICE – Won his first four career starts and far from disgraced when fourth in the Provincial Championship Final last start. Looks suited stepping up to the mile and right in the mix.

RACE 4 No: 8 RICHARD OF YORKE – Sandown winner this trip two runs back before finishing runner-up at Bendigo last start. Likely to be in the finish again with a soft run from the gate. Handle all track conditions. Hard to beat.

RACE 6 No: 9 GRAND DREAMER – Melbourne raider that produced a strong run fresh and his second-up form is terrific. He gets conditions to suit and the trip looks ideal. Winning chance.

RACE 7 No: 6 NIETA – Nieta looked a Group horse in the making last preparation and going off her two trials leading in she has only improved. Unbeaten first-up and won three from four at the distance, she looks the bet on the card.

RACE 4 No: 9 RUTHVEN – Huge drop in grade off his past few starts. Right at his peak still, handles all track conditions he’s the one to beat from the good gate. Ready to win.

RACE 6 No: 1 FRENCH EMOTION – We are backing up from last Saturday when racing without luck. The flashing light runner is always well backed next run and this mare certainly fits the bill.

RACE 8 No: 13 KEN’S DREAM – Big win last start when ridden quieter after missing the kick badly. This is a touch stronger but if he can get into the three-wide line approaching the home turn he can run a race. Will be flying late. Eachway chance.

RACE 1 No: 1 EMERALD CITY – Will find this easier than Toowoomba Cup. Was very consistent last preparation stringing together a few wins and has won both starts at this track. Should be in the finish now that has had few runs under his belt.

RACE 4 No: 4 LAND OFFICE – Improved by recent racing and fought on well at Toowoomba. Track, class and distance suit. Should be prominent throughout.

RACE 3 No: 7 SCHISM Had to sit outside the speed last time when brave in defeat. Has drawn far better here then last start where she was ridden outside the speed from a wide gate to go down narrowly. Will be in this for along way.
