OneSelection2WinSaturdayRacingMail

Welcome to OneSelection2Win Saturday Racing Mail for Saturday 17th June where we have come with our mail for each of the main meetings around the country.

ROSEHILL (NSW)
TRACK: HEAVY (8) – RAIL: True

RACE 3 No: 2 ZAMEX – Soft win here in the Highway two weeks back. He will improve off the run and the steps up in trip that will suit. Trainer Matt Dunn is building a terrific record in the Highways and we expect that to continue. Winning chance.

RACE 4 No: 2 UPSCALE – Hit the line strongly fresh here in open company to just miss the placings (4th). Form has been franked with The Monstar (3rd) winning last Saturday at Randwick. Strips fitter and out to the 1200m suits. Top show.

RACE 8 No: 7 CARZOFF – Former import hit the line strongly in his first start at Warwick Farm at the mile. Fitter, extra distance looks to be more to his liking. Hugh sticks is a good sign, can go one better here. Hard to beat.

***

MOONEE VALLEY (VIC)
TRACK: (GOOD 4) – RAIL: +3m Entire Circuit

RACE 4 No: 11 ROYAL RUBY – Racing in excellent form this preparation in some handy three-year-old races. Meets an even bunch of older mares here and should sit handy to the speed in a race that looks to have limited speed. Super chance to go back to back.

RACE 7 No: 8 COLDSTONE – Luckless with the big weight and being trapped three and four wide the trip to go down narrowly. Drawn to receive gun run and be saved for the last crack at them in the straight. Ready to win.

***

IPSWICH (QLD)
TRACK: (SOFT 7) – RAIL: True

RACE 2 No: 13 ASSERTORY – Has been a model of consistency being in the money all four runs here. Loves the sting out of ground so conditions won’t be a factor. Both Totes.

RACE 6 No: 9 HOT MONEY – In top form winning three of his last four starts. Leading rider goes on is a real plus, should be camped on speed and with the nice weight drop (5kg) should stake his claim again. In form likes the wet and will take a power of beating.

***

MORPHETTVILLE (SA)
TRACK: (GOOD 4) – Rail: Out 2m 1800m-1200m; True the Remainder

RACE 2 No: 2 SUPER HAZE – Dominant winner here in similar grade last time when leading throughout for a strong win. Has drawn to get the same run throughout. Take a power of beating. Go Close.

RACE 5 No: 4 NEAPOLITAN – Resumes here and does have a great record fresh. Fitted up with a recent trial (Morphettville) to have her ready for strong first up performance. Watch for any betting moves.

***

ROSEHILL (NSW)
RACE 8 No: 7 CARZOFF – Former import hit the line strongly in his first start at Warwick Farm at the mile. Fitter, extra distance looks to be more to his liking. Hugh sticks is a good sign, can go one better here. Hard to beat.

MOONEE VALLEY (VIC)
RACE 4 No: 11 ROYAL RUBY – Racing in excellent form this preparation in some handy three-year-old races. Meets an even bunch of older mares here and should sit handy to the speed in a race that looks to have limited speed. Super chance to go back to back.

GOOD LUCK & GOOD PUNTING

Weekend Racing Mail – (Saturday 26th November)

cropped-eye1.jpg

OneSelection2WinWeekendRacingMail

Welcome to OneSelection2Win Weekend Racing Mail for Saturday 26th November where we have come with our mail for each of the main meetings around the country.

ROSEHILL (NSW)
TRACK – (GOOD 3)

RACE 3 No: 7 LIAPARI – Unlucky not to win at his first Australian start then made amends at Canterbury. Will relish this distance range and the bigger track. Should be peaking now, promising stayer going through the grades and should that prove tough beat again.
(UNPLACED)

RACE 8 No: 8 INTERSTELLAR – Resumes on the back of a Rosehill trial win. Former New Zealand mare who was impressive winning only Australian start this track and distance last July. Yet to see a dry track in all her race start. Did trial on a Good surface and didn’t seem to cause any concerns. Monitor any betting moves.
(UNPLACED)

RACE 9 No: 6 FIRST HAND – Has won three from four in a short career, chasing back to back wins after a Canterbury victory this trip last start. Up in grade but looks to have plenty of upside and a winning chance again.
(PLACED – 3RD)

***

MOONEE VALLEY (VIC)
TRACK – (GOOD 4)

RACE 5 No: 4 BLACK SHEEP – Should have nearly won last start when he appeared to be a touch unlucky when he couldn’t get clear running room at stages in the race. Super fit and does loves this track, he’ll be hard to hold out with even share of luck. Drawn to receive a soft run, will be charging home late. Hard to beat.
(WINNER – $2.60)

RACE 6 No: 13 VANDANCER – Promising mare coming off a good win fresh. Suited out to the mile, if she gets cover midfield she’ll be strong late.
(UNPLACED)

RACE 7 No: 2 HIGH CHURCH – He’s flying for the new stable and looks ready to peak. Drawn to do no work in the run, if he can get clear room from the of the turn he’ll be tough to beat.
(PLACED – 3RD)

***

EAGLE FARM (QLD)
TRACK – (GOOD 4)

RACE 2 No: 3 FLITERO – In strong form winning his last two in similar company. Stable has been on fire of late. Was dominant last start at Doomben and despite 2.5kg weight rise should be hard to beat again.
(UNPLACED)

RACE 8 No: 14 OBERLAND – Was racing soundly at provincials when last in wor and placed twice in city company. Races best when fresh, monitor any betting pushes. Go close.
(SCRATCHED)

***

MORPHETTVILLE (SA)
TRACK – (GOOD 4)

RACE 1 No: 2 SOMETHING MORE – Broke through for much deserved win when scoring (very similar race) last start. Again maps ideally up on the pace and again expect her to give another big sight in this.
(PLACED – 3RD)

RACE 3 No: 5 MYSTIFIED – Resuming. Certainly displayed plenty of promise when an impressive debut winner before far from disgraced behind some nice types only other race start. Comes into this off the back of a more than solid recent trial-big watch.
(UNPLACED)

***

ASCOT (WA)
TRACK – (GOOD 3)

RACE 4 No: 3 LENIENCE – Model of consistency of late with three consecutive runners up cheques, only needs run up to those recent efforts to be fighting out the finish yet again. Must be respected.
(UNPLACED)

RACE 9 No: 1 MAGIC ROCKET – Working through the grades as does appear to be a stayer with something to offer, should have no trouble with this distance. With a strong finish he looks hard to hold out again.
(UNPLACED)

satrudays-best-bet

ROSEHILL (NSW)
RACE 8 No: 8 INTERSTELLAR – Resumes on the back of a Rosehill trial win. Former New Zealand mare who was impressive winning only Australian start this track and distance last July. Yet to see a dry track in all her race start. Did trial on a Good surface and didn’t seem to cause any concerns. Monitor any betting moves.

Friday Night Selections – (Moonee Valley)

cropped-eye1.jpg

OneSelection2WinFridayNightRacingMail

Welcome to OneSelection2Win Friday Night Racing Mail for tonight’s Moonee Valley meeting. We have found three selections what appears to be a tough card.

MOONEE VALLEY (VIC)
TRACK: (GOOD 4)RAIL: TRUE

RACE 3 No: 9 BLUE MONEY – Switches to Victoria with strong New South Wales provincial form next to her name. Only needs to run up to her recent efforts to be the one to beat. Stable does have the good knack to move horses interstate to get the correct result. Hard to beat.

RACE 6 No: 11 SPANNER HEAD – Up-and-coming filly that just missed at Flemington on Oaks day after her strong maiden win at the mile. Will appreciate the step up to this distance as she does appear the further they go the stronger she will be, drawn to receive the soft run throughout the run. Both Totes.

RACE 8 No: 6 VANTAGGIO – Plenty to like about his first-up win at Cranbourne after a strong trial performance. Looks to be a horse that can work through the grades. Strong stable, monitor any strong betting moves. Go close.

MOONEE VALLEY (VIC)
TRACK – (GOOD 3)

MANIKATO STAKES SELECTION
RACE 7 No: 6 THE QUARTERBACK – What a Group 1 race with so many angles to look for to find the winner, Chautauqua looks the obvious pick with the Moir Stakes run under his belt. Looking for value and we have decided to go for The Quarterback. Soft win first-up at Flemington after impressive trial performance, has always showed alot and does improves with racing and his last run here was very good. He’ll be back last in the run, he gets to the outside approaching the 600m mark he’ll launching late. Eachway.

***

CANTERBURY (NSW)
TRACK – (GOOD 3)

FRIDAY NIGHT MAIL – MOIR STAKES

cropped-eye1.jpg

OneSelection2WinWeekendRacingMail

Welcome to OneSelection2Win Friday’s night mail for Group 1 Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley where we get to see the cash between Chautauqua and the Queensland marvel Buffering.

We have come up with our best bets for tonight’s meeting.

MOONEE VALLEY (NSW)
TRACK – (GOOD 4)

RACE 4 No: 8 AUNTY MO – Kept on giving to score over this course before spelling. Sure to be forward enough for her return to racing and the jockey knows her like the back of his hand. Loves this track. Winning chance.

RACE 5 No: 8 KACHING – Pulled out a big run to be placed at Caulfield last start where he was along way back in the field. He did sustain along run only to peak inside the last furlong. Does look to be a horse with plenty of upside. Will be closing late.

RACE 7 No: 1 BUFFERING – Warhorse sprinter that has won this race three times. Working well for his return to racing. Distance suits. Hard to catch.

RACE 8 No: 8 FAST CASH – Dropped out after a torrid trip four wide last start. Plenty to like about his efforts prior where he hit the line late to just miss, has options from a middle barrier. Go well.

Out of HELL IT’S HOTWINNER and PRODUCER of 4 FOALS to RACE FOR 4 WINNERS

GAI WATERHOUSE COMMENTS:
‘MAGNIFICENT, BIG, STRONG – SO TYPICAL OF THE AL MAHER BREED’

GAI LOVES this COLT and has TRAINED some of the BEST HORSES by AL MAHER including – DIAMOND DRILLE, FAT AL & ALMALAD all to GROUP 1 WINS!

When the name ‘Al Maher’ is mentioned to Gai, three words that feature prominently in her response are ‘toughness’, ‘honesty’ and ‘brilliance’. We talk about the value of a stallion ‘stamping their stock’ or passing on many of their own traits and I can think of no greater example of this than Al Maher. Winning over $1.1 million in prize money, which included a win in the Group 1 Australian Guineas, Al Maher raced consistently at the highest level. Trained by Gai, she knew exactly what it took to prepare this great colt and it has not stopped at Al Maher himself. He has produced three Group 1 winners, all trained by Gai. She has also trained King Lionheart and Pheidon to secure victory at Group 2 level. This feat is unmatched by any other trainer, she truly is the best at getting the most out of this family.
