OneSelection2WinSaturdayRacingMail

Welcome to OneSelection2Win Saturday Racing Mail for Saturday 17th June where we have come with our mail for each of the main meetings around the country.

ROSEHILL (NSW)
TRACK: HEAVY (8) – RAIL: True

RACE 3 No: 2 ZAMEX – Soft win here in the Highway two weeks back. He will improve off the run and the steps up in trip that will suit. Trainer Matt Dunn is building a terrific record in the Highways and we expect that to continue. Winning chance.

RACE 4 No: 2 UPSCALE – Hit the line strongly fresh here in open company to just miss the placings (4th). Form has been franked with The Monstar (3rd) winning last Saturday at Randwick. Strips fitter and out to the 1200m suits. Top show.

RACE 8 No: 7 CARZOFF – Former import hit the line strongly in his first start at Warwick Farm at the mile. Fitter, extra distance looks to be more to his liking. Hugh sticks is a good sign, can go one better here. Hard to beat.

***

MOONEE VALLEY (VIC)
TRACK: (GOOD 4) – RAIL: +3m Entire Circuit

RACE 4 No: 11 ROYAL RUBY – Racing in excellent form this preparation in some handy three-year-old races. Meets an even bunch of older mares here and should sit handy to the speed in a race that looks to have limited speed. Super chance to go back to back.

RACE 7 No: 8 COLDSTONE – Luckless with the big weight and being trapped three and four wide the trip to go down narrowly. Drawn to receive gun run and be saved for the last crack at them in the straight. Ready to win.

***

IPSWICH (QLD)
TRACK: (SOFT 7) – RAIL: True

RACE 2 No: 13 ASSERTORY – Has been a model of consistency being in the money all four runs here. Loves the sting out of ground so conditions won’t be a factor. Both Totes.

RACE 6 No: 9 HOT MONEY – In top form winning three of his last four starts. Leading rider goes on is a real plus, should be camped on speed and with the nice weight drop (5kg) should stake his claim again. In form likes the wet and will take a power of beating.

***

MORPHETTVILLE (SA)
TRACK: (GOOD 4) – Rail: Out 2m 1800m-1200m; True the Remainder

RACE 2 No: 2 SUPER HAZE – Dominant winner here in similar grade last time when leading throughout for a strong win. Has drawn to get the same run throughout. Take a power of beating. Go Close.

RACE 5 No: 4 NEAPOLITAN – Resumes here and does have a great record fresh. Fitted up with a recent trial (Morphettville) to have her ready for strong first up performance. Watch for any betting moves.

***

ROSEHILL (NSW)
RACE 8 No: 7 CARZOFF – Former import hit the line strongly in his first start at Warwick Farm at the mile. Fitter, extra distance looks to be more to his liking. Hugh sticks is a good sign, can go one better here. Hard to beat.

MOONEE VALLEY (VIC)
RACE 4 No: 11 ROYAL RUBY – Racing in excellent form this preparation in some handy three-year-old races. Meets an even bunch of older mares here and should sit handy to the speed in a race that looks to have limited speed. Super chance to go back to back.

By the GROUP 1 AUSTRALIAN GUINEAS WINNERAL MAHERSIRE OF GROUP 1 WINNERSDELICACY, ALMALAD, FAT AL & DIAMOND DRILLE

Out of HELL IT’S HOTWINNER and PRODUCER of 4 FOALS to RACE FOR 4 WINNERS

GAI WATERHOUSE COMMENTS:
‘MAGNIFICENT, BIG, STRONG – SO TYPICAL OF THE AL MAHER BREED’

GAI LOVES this COLT and has TRAINED some of the BEST HORSES by AL MAHER including – DIAMOND DRILLE, FAT AL & ALMALAD all to GROUP 1 WINS!

When the name ‘Al Maher’ is mentioned to Gai, three words that feature prominently in her response are ‘toughness’, ‘honesty’ and ‘brilliance’. We talk about the value of a stallion ‘stamping their stock’ or passing on many of their own traits and I can think of no greater example of this than Al Maher. Winning over $1.1 million in prize money, which included a win in the Group 1 Australian Guineas, Al Maher raced consistently at the highest level. Trained by Gai, she knew exactly what it took to prepare this great colt and it has not stopped at Al Maher himself. He has produced three Group 1 winners, all trained by Gai. She has also trained King Lionheart and Pheidon to secure victory at Group 2 level. This feat is unmatched by any other trainer, she truly is the best at getting the most out of this family.

Scott Darby: ”Stellar colt, impossible to fault, size, strength, athleticism’ – One of the colt’s of the year!

Steven McIvor: ‘Lovely colt with good shoulder and forearm with plenty of bone to support, excellent hindquarters, athletic quality colt with presence, super walk’ – A must have colt the pick of the sale! (Straight to Gai Waterhouse)

ROSEHILL (NSW)
TRACK – (HEAVY 9)

RACE 8 No: 3 ALLERGIC – Buttering up again when he did a good job to win the Premier’s Cup Prelude stepping up to 1800m second-up last time out. Scope for improvement and a winning chance yet again.

RACE 9 No: 9 CANNYESCENT – Chased home Chetwood at Canterbury when resuming. Fitter here and meets that galloper 4kg better at the weights, extra distance suits. Go close.

***

CAULFIELD (VIC)
TRACK – (GOOD 4)

RACE 1 No: 2 SEBRIKKA – Promising filly that charged through the line looking for more ground last start. Topped up with a soft trial, she’ll be tough to beat.

RACE 7 No: 2 BLACK HEART BART – Just missed in the Newmarket fresh last preparation. Model of consistency when last in work and should prove very hard to beat here as this is his pet distance.

RACE 8 No: 9 TOM MELBOURNE – Highly talented stayer that can do a bit wrong in his races. His recent jump out was very good indeed, no shock to see him run a huge race. Monitor any betting moves.

***

DOOMBEN (QLD)
TRACK – (SOFT 6)

RACE 3 No: 3 JOPA – Improved by recent racing and likes this track and distance. Third up now should be hitting peak fitness. Will be hard to hold off from the good gate with 1.5kg claim a bonus. Ready to ge back into the winners circle.

RACE 8 No: 5 HI I’M BACK – In top form of late winning his last two starts, suited this distance range. Drops 0.5kg on last win and should be handy throughout, can win again.

***

MORPHETTVILLE (SA)
TRACK – (SOFT 5)

RACE 5 No: 8 SNAKE CHARMER – Former Stakes placed mare resuming here for new Stable. Looked good when scoring in recent trial-really does appear to get in here huge down on the minimum. Expect her to be very hard to beat here, especially given any market support.

OneSelection2WinWeekendRacingMail

Welcome to OneSelection2Win Weekend Racing Mail for Saturday 16th July, we have come up with our better bets around the country.

ROSEHILL (NSW)
TRACK – SOFT 7

RACE 2 No: 4 DARK EYES – Should have been right in the finish here two runs when poled axe in the straight, then a touch disappointing at Canterbury last start. Looking for the step up in distance and can bounce back without surprising. Eachway chance at the odds on offer. (WINNER- $11.00)

RACE 4 No: 10 ERIKA – Appreciated the step up in distance to win here over 1800m last start with a rail hugging ride by Blake Shinn. The extra 200m looks a plus and down in weight (3.5kg). A winning chance again. Both Totes. (PLACED – 3RD)

RACE 8 No: 7 THUD – Unlucky not to win both runs this time in. Should be right at her peak and has won third-up previously. Ready to win. (UNPLACED)

***

CAULFIELD (VIC)
TRACK – GOOD 4

RACE 1 No: 10 SEBRIKKA – This filly was quite impressive beating two subsequent winners at Ballarat. Step up to this distance looks to be more in her favour the way she charged to the line. Hard to beat. (WINNER – $3.70)

RACE 4 No: 3 KAPOUR – Ready for this now off a good 2nd-up run here behind Longeron. Expect him to race much closer in the run and be hard to get past at the business end of procedure. Winning chance. (UNPLACED)

RACE 7 No: 8 ULMANN – Will take a stack of improvement for his first-up run when placed behind Duke Of Brunswick. Meets that horse 2kg better off. Does no work from the inside gate and should get the run of the race and so he should be hard to hold out. Ready to win. (WINNER- $4.20)

EAGLE FARM (QLD)
TRACK – SOFT 5

RACE 1 No: 2 GUARD OF HONOUR – Won well at mid-week Warwick Farm when resuming for the stable. Has been nominated for a few races in NSW and stable has elected to accept here proves Gets Damian Browne and should be handy throughout. (SCRATCHED)

RACE 5 No: 5 ONE INCH PUNCH – Won easily last start at his 2nd start in the area since coming from Victoria. This is a touch harder but is improving and should be up to this grade the way he found the line at his recent win. (WINNER – $4.20)

RACE 7 No: 15 MOST IMPORTANT – Promising 3YO who resumed with a solid effort at Eagle Farm. Can be handy throughout with only 54kg and drawn perfectly to receive the run of the race. Fitter now with the recent run under his belt. Take a ton of beating. (UNPLACED)

***

GAWLER (SA)
TRACK – HEAVY 8

RACE 7 No: 1 DAYTONA GREY – Overall form this time in certainly reads as most consistent. Comes into this off a game last start, last stride win. Obviously relishing the recent ‘big wet’. Has won his two previous runs here at Gawler. (UNPLACED)

RACE 9 No: 4 URBAN BOURBON – Produced a terrific effort to come with a big run and score 1st-up. That now made it a hatrick of wins. Has certainly never raced in better form and again looks to get race run to suit. Expect him to again run very well here. Both Totes. (UNPLACED)

KEMBLA (NSW)
TRACK – SOFT 5

RACE 8 No: 4 FLY FORWARD – Defeated a subsequent winner to win his maiden at Wyong resuming before finishing runner-up at Newcastle Beaumont last start. Peaks third-up and looks suited stepping up in distance. Go Close. (PLACED- 3RD)
