BLACKBOOKERS

*** ROSEHILL GARDENS ***

RIVER BIRD – Really liked the way she found the line in a very fast run race where she was along way back. Her final furlong was super and with the likelyhood of rain affected tracks over the carnival can see this 4yo mare in the winners circle.

MASTER OF WINE – This horse from the Hawkes team has been ultra consistent since he debuted on Australian soil back in April 2019. His last 4 starts has resulted all in the wins from distances of (1400m to 2400m). Whatever he contests next he will be very hard to beat. Serious horse.

*** CAULFIELD ***

RAINBOW THIEF – His run gets a pass mark the way the race was run, he couldn’t win from the back of the field. He closed of late and to finish as close as he did is a credit on the horses ability and all goes well where ever the stable elects to run.

SUPERSTORM – What a run in the All Star Mile where he settled way back in the field in a solidly run race to find the line strongly only to be beaten by Regal Power his stable mate. He has put to solid performances in Melbourne since coming over from the West. We did blackbook him when he ran second to Alligator Blood in the Australian Guineas . Whatever he contests next he will be hard to beat.

*** ROYAL RANDWICK ***

COSMIC FORCE – Super run fresh in a very quick run of the Fireball over 1000m giving the winner 5kg only to beaten just on 1 1/4 lengths has shown he has come back to racing in good style. Will strip fitter as he only had the one trial coming into the race.

SAVATIANO – Huge run after being taken on in front only to be vulnerable late by the winner that had the sit throughout to claim her late. She’s flying.

WARNING – Liked the run of the 2019 Victoria Derby winner in the Randwick Guineas over the mile where he settled in the first half of the field. When the sprint went on he may have been left flat footed, the winner Shadow Hero ran past him and only to beaten on 2 lengths on the post, he’s ticking over nicely for ATC Derby.

SHARED AMBITION – His win on Saturday proved he is a stayer going places. Will prove hard to beat what ever he contests now that the distances will be more to his liking.

*** FLEMINGTON ***

RUSSIAN CAMELOT – May not have placed on Saturday but his run was enormous when settling last throughout the run and the way the race was run he couldn’t win. He worked to the line super and want to be on this Danny O’Brien runner at his next start.

WILD PLANET – Ridden like the best horse in the race and didn’t let the punters down with a terrific win for the Dunn and Hawkes stable. He’s another horse the stable will place him to advantage.

VOW AND DECLARE – 2019 Melbourne Cup winner resumed on Saturday nicely to grab third in the Group 1 Australian Cup. He does look he has come back in super order so where ever the stable elects to take him next he will be around the mark.

*** ROYAL RANDWICK ***

MAMARAGAN – Loved the win of this Wandjina colt on debut in the Group 2 Skyline Stakes after showing excellent trial form. Looks to be one that can progress towards the Golden Slipper path.

I AM SUPERMAN – Worked to the line well being fresh in a leaders dominated race to finish 4th beaten just on 2.5 lengths. Will improve with fitness and the run under his belt, has won at the mile overseas. There is a race for the Peter & Paul Snowden runner over this Autumn carnival.

POHUTUKAWA – James Cummings trained four year old mare that found the line on Saturday coming from well back in the field to be charging home late to just miss on the line. Did race in the big fillies and mare races over the spring carnival last year without much luck. Only just need luck in running to be winning.

*** FLEMINGTON ***

ILOVEMYSELF – Big win on debut when peeling of the heels late to grab the leader in the shadows of the post. Love to see this colt have a crack in Sydney for the 2020 Golden Slipper.

SUPER STORM – Hit the line late in the Australian Guineas only to be beaten by Alligator Blood. Looking for further now and will be hard to beat next start.

BIG NIGHT OUT – Super run over the 1200m in the final race to be charging home to grab a share of the minor money on the line. Big watch when the stable gets him out to 1400m where he has won.  Ready to win.
